Head of communication elected for NRP 78 "COVID-19"
The SNSF elected Mark Bächer as head of communication for the National Research Programme "COVID-19" (NRP 78).
Mark Bächer is a specialist in science communication and owner of the consulting firm Life Science Communication, which offers integrated communication, PR and marketing in the areas of public health, life sciences and science communication. The SNSF has elected him to the position of head of communication for the National Research Programme "COVID-19" (NRP 78). His role is to promote dialogue between researchers, politicians and society, while also communicating the research results to a wider public.
NRP 78 is expected to advance our understanding of COVID-19, provide recommendations for clinical management and public health, and expedite the development of vaccines, therapeutics and diagnostics. By drawing up and implementing a communication and dialogue concept for NRP 78, Mark Bächer will play a key role in familiarising politicians, government offices and the public with the research results.
